From my current work in the book publishing business, I bring your business or institution my expertise in editing and print production, a long track record of detailed project management, familiarity with social media, and knowledge of web content strategies. Indeed, my focus this past year for White Cloud Press has been web development (Joomla CMS) and social media for book and author marketing.
While with the Los Alamos National Laboratory Public Information Office, I regularly served national media journalists, always with the prime goal of helping them get their jobs done well. I had primary responsibility for coverage of environmental issues and wrote stories from across the spectrum of the lab's research areas, from health science developments to high-energy magnets, from neutron scattering to the human genome project.
At Southern Oregon University and at UC Santa Cruz, I nurtured and enjoyed collaborations with faculty, researchers, and students while coordinating campus events, hosting guests, and supporting departmental communications strategy.
For two decades I have been writing, editing, designing, and publishing newsletters, marketing materials, staff newspapers, magazines, and books for major institutions and my own businesses.
I'm seeking a new challenge where I may apply my strong and varied background in writing, publishing, administration, marketing, and project management.
